Mr. Ricky Leo Wood, age 60, of Dobson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Yadkin County on February 20, 1954 to the late Leo James and Pauline Harrison Wood and was a member of Second Chance Church. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and dedicated wife of thirty-three years, Angela Regina Sneed Wood, of the home; a daughter and son-on-law, Shannon and Josh White of Elkin; his beloved granddaughters, Ashlyn and Willow White; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Diane Hardy, of Dobson and Edward and Polly Hardy, of Boonville; and his special pet, “Precious”. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Second Chance Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideon’s International, Dobson Ward, PO Box 791 Dobson, NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the family.
