William J. Moreland, III, 58, of Jamestown passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Providence, the son of Marion A. (Bonner) Moreland of Warwick and the late William J. Moreland, Jr., he lived in Warwick for many years before moving to Jamestown.
Mr. Moreland was a Providence Firefighter before retiring. He was an avid fisherman.
He leaves four children, William J. Moreland, IV of Jamestown, Meghan Moreland of Collegeville, PA, Erin Moreland of Jamestown and Daniel Moreland of Jamestown; two sisters, Beverly Lasher of Warwick and Kathleen Impagliazzo of Narragansett; and three grandchildren, Mariya Rose McNamee, Luke and Jonathan Huzzard.
His funeral was held Saturday, August 16, 2014 from the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark Church, Jamestown. Burial followed in St. Mark Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Boston Children's Hospital, Nephrology Department, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115 will be appreciated.
