Sharon Oliver, 71, a resident of Cypress, Illinois, received her angel wings on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at 3:13 AM at her home.

Sharon was born May 20, 1943 to Maurice and Kathleen (Hartline) Ritchey.

On June 3, 1961, Sharon was united in marriage to Carrol Oliver. He survives.

Sharon is also survived by her children: Penny (Jeff) Jordan of Vienna, Richie (Jacquie) Oliver of Cypress and Dana Little of Peoria; grandchildren – Heather (Shawn) Evans of Marion, Christopher (Hayley) Nichols of Louisiana, Shianna (Justin) Russell of Cypress, Richie Wayne Oliver and Haylie Oliver both of Cypress; great grandchildren – Payton, Anniston, Reese, and Brantley; a sister – Phyllis (Jerry) Capron of Cypress; a brother – Kent (Anita) Ritchey of Marion; her mother-in-law – Lesta Oliver of Vienna; brothers-in-law – Darrel (Helen) Oliver of Gilbert and Jerry (Phyllis) Oliver of Cypress; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law – Herschel Oliver, a brother-in-law – Greg Oliver, and a sister-in-law – Linda Dunn.

Sharon was a member of the Cypress Methodist Church, where she enjoyed leading the music service. Sharon loved spending time watching her grandchildren play sports, mowing her yard, and sitting in her front porch swing.

Sharon served as bookkeeper at the Cypress Grade School for 40 years, prior to her retirement.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, August 17, 2014, at 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Kenny Baker will officiate. Burial will be in the Cypress Masonic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 PM – 9 PM Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.

Memorials may be made to the Heather Harper Treat Memorial Fund or to the Cypress Methodist Church.
