Marie C. Norris, age 97, was born in Kimball, Minnesota, to parents Swan and Anna (Kertz) Engholm.

Her family moved to the Acme Valley in the early 1900's, where she married, raised her family and lived the remainder of her life. She loved the Valley and its beauty, but more than anything else, she loved the people there. Friends, relatives and neighbors that came together sharing their lives, helping each other in good times and bad.

Marie was blessed with very special neighbors who loved, cared for her and blessed her life. Marie had a very special faith in Jesus Christ which she shared with others through her unconditional love and care for them.

Marie treasured her home. Her home was filled with memories of loved ones, and crafts that she had made, along with special gifts from others. Marie's favorite activities included, serving others at her home, writing letters, making phone calls and sharing in and supporting the accomplishment of others.

Marie moved to Emeritus Senior living in Fairhaven in October of 2013. She made many new friends and was surrounded by a very special staff of caregivers who loved and cared for her until her death.
