Born on May 5, 1946 in Ogden, Utah to Dell and Thea Murdock, Steve served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War. He went on to graduate from University of Arizona with a Bachelor degree in Accounting. Steve moved to California in 1970, eventually settling in Castro Valley in 1976. Steve worked as an Enrolled Agent for the majority of his professional career and was the CEO of Business, Inc., an accounting firm serving many in the East Bay. He was an avid cyclist and proudly completed the Death Ride in Lake Tahoe. Steve was active in the local community and held many offices with the Rotary Clubs of Castro Valley and Dublin. Known for his smile and charm, Steve will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Maggie Murdock, Kristina Murdock and Chanon Murdock Lockett; son in law, Christopher Lockett; grandchildren, Keven Leehan, Mac Lockett, Myranda Belden and Liberty Lockett; many loving extended family and cherished friends.
Steve will be laid to rest with military honors at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
