Phillip "Gary-Teri" Harper died of natural causes on Wednesday August 13, 2014. Gary was born in Pleasant Grove, Utah and later moved to Sacramento, California. Gary was an incredible person. While in the Navy, he served two tours in Vietnam, then worked for Consolidated Freightways for nearly 30 years before retiring and moving to Idaho to be closer to his girls. Gary was such a kind and loving person; he would go to any length to help someone out. He had a great sense of humor and always tried to make people happy. He was truly an angel on Earth and surely is an angel in heaven. Gary will be missed, never forgotten, and always in our hearts. He is survived by his daughter Lori Ogaard, Mandy Castle ( Toby), Hannah Harper (Shane) , Danielle Smania, Breeanne Smania and Tricia Bowns, his younger brother Richard Harper, his older brother Ronald Harper, his previous wife and forever friend, Faro Snow, and many other relatives, grand children, great grandchildren, and wonderful friends.
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 11:30-1:30pm at Bowman Funeral Parlor located at 10254 W. Carlton Bay Garden City, Idaho. Following the viewing a committal service will be held at 2:00 pm at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery located at 10100 N. Horseshoe Bend Road, Boise, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Idaho Youth Ranch.
