Gerald E. Leach, 72, of Mineral Wells, died Sunday evening in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Weirton, a son of the late Floyd Neal and Asie Taylor Leach. He was a retired construction worker from Jelco Company, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, He was a member of the Sheet Metals International Association, Parkersburg Local No. 299 Sheet Metals Union. He was a member of the Cleveland Local No. 65 Sheet Metals and the Salt Lake City, Utah Local 312.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Clella Mae Larue Leach; one daughter, Sandra Bumgarner of Fresno, Calif.; two grandchildren, Sgt. William Michael Waddle of Randolph Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, and Lisa Ann Waddle of Renton, Washington; two sisters Lyda Taylor and Wanda Leach, both of Cape Coral, Florida.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, with Dr. Arthur G. Backus officiating, with burial in the Sunset Memory Gardens.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday, all day Wednesday, and up until time of services on Thursday.
