The body of William Lee Acker, Sr., 60, who died at his home, 24 Chiles avenue, Wednesday night, was sent to Newport, Pa. for funeral services and burial. Lewis funeral home was in charge of arrangements here.
A mechanic, Mr. Acker came to Asheville about a year ago for his health and had been ill since that time.
Survivors include three children.
