Joanne Mills, 71, Smithville, MO, passed away Friday, February 25, 2005, in her home. Born August 14, 1933, in Excelsior Springs, she was the daughter of Jesse A. and Edna Faye Summer O'Dell. On August 15, 1950, in Excelsior Springs, she was married to Richard H. Mills, who preceded her in death December 17, 1988. She is survived by three sons, a brother, two sisters, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, sister Janice Reynolds, and brother Harold O'Dell preceded her in death. Mrs. Mills and her husband owned and operated several businesses in the Kansas City area. She had a great love for her family and enjoyed bowling, movies, and reading. She was a member of the Ferrelview Christian Church.
