Dr. Sprague was born Seth Loring, the son of Samuel Loring (1798-1847) FaG# 102042931 and Nancy Sprague (1801-1847) FaG# 102042703. He was adopted by his mother's childless brother, Seth, and took the name Seth Loring Sprague.
