Another pioneer resident of Marin County as called to her last rest yesterday when Mrs. Frances Matilda Blake, 82, who with her husband, the late Jeremiah Blake, settled at Blake's Landing near Marshall on Tomales Bay in 1865, passed away at her home on D and Taylor Streets.
Mrs. Blake was a native of Michigan, and was the mother of 9 children, 8 of whom are living and are residents of Marin County.
Following the death of her husband 20 years ago, she lived in Larkspur, and for the last 10 years has made her home in San Rafael.
Her children who survive here are Mrs. R.H. Warden, Mrs. Mary E. Kinney, Edward E. Blake, Jeremiah B. Blake, Charles E. Blake, General H. Blake, Jasper E. Blake, and Arthur Blake.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Matilda Blake, 82, pioneer resident of Marin County, who died Tuesday, were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the parlors of Keaton & Dusel. Dr. Lynn Townsend White of the faculty of the San Francisco Theological Seminary, officiated at the services.
Six grandsons of Mrs. Blake acted as pall bearers. They were: William Blake of Sacramento; Johannes Petersen, Arthur Blake, Walter Blake, Everett Blake, and James Kenney of Marin County.
