Born in Salem, WI on September 16, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Newton and Eleanor (Jones) Meredith. Marilyn was a graduate of Kenosha High School.
On February 3, 1951 at St. James Rectory, she was married to John "Jack" T. Smith.
For 24 years until her retirement in 1992, Marilyn was employed with the Kenosha Unified School District as a Teachers Aid.
Marilyn was a faithful member of St. Peter's Catholic Church where she was an usher and member of their Parish Council. She was an avid bowler and was a member of the 600 Bowling Club. She enjoyed golfing and spending time with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 60 years, John "Jack" Smith; her three children, Deborah (Donald) Pegoraro, Thomas (Kathy) Smith and David (Dawn) Smith, all of Kenosha; her sister-in-law, Barbara Meredith of Chippewa Falls; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Meredith.
Service:
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 2224 30th Avenue. Private entombment will be held in All Saints Mausoleum.
Visitation:
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the mass at the church., 2224 30th Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Hospice Alliance, Inc., 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd., Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158 would be appreciated.
