Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Ernest Bryan and Marie Davis Coker. He was a U.S. Army veteran, retired from the Greenville County Tax Collector's Office, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Taylors.
Surviving are a son, Troy Lee Coker Jr. of Greenville; brothers, Edward Coker of Greenville and Benny Coker of Atlanta, Ga.; and grandchildren, Brittany Lauren Vannort and Mathew Ryan Vannort.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
