SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP – William David Bradler, 73, of Saybrook Township, Ohio, died Thursday, August 7, 2014, at his home.

A graveside service, with full military honors, will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, in the chapel at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery on Carpenter Road in Ashtabula. Following the service everyone is invited to a Celebration of Life gathering at the North End Club, 517 Joseph Ave. in Ashtabula.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675, or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.

Ducro Funeral Home and Crematory, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, is handling arrangements.

SAYBROOK TWP. - William David Bradler, 73, of Saybrook Township, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at his home.

William was born August 14, 1940 in Ashtabula, Ohio the son of William C. and Patricia J. Bradler. On August 5, 1959 he joined the US Navy where he served as a jet mechanic and was honorably discharged on July 5, 1963. He then worked for the RMI Extrusion Plant and retired after 30 years of service.

He was a member of the Ashtabula American Legion Post 103, American Legion Riders, Geneva VFW Post 6846, East Ashtabula Club, Young Men�s Social Club, the North End Club and the USS Intrepid Association. For many years he and his wife organized a motorcycle Poker Run, known as the "Meschko Run" raising money for the American Cancer Society in memory of Arnold Meschko.

William is survived by his wife Patricia A. (Frisch) Bradler whom he married on August 11, 1998 in Dunkirk, New York; children, Deanna Perdue, William W. Bradler and Thomas W. Bradler; step-children, Florence Whitmire and Louis Asmus. He is also survived by several grandchildren.
