SPARKS, Anna Evalene, age 87 of Kettering, passed away suddenly Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at her residence. Evalene was born on September 15, 1924 in Martha, Kentucky to the late Noah and Viola (Fannin) Sparks of Mazie, Kentucky.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katherine Louise Popov and sisters, Hermal Wheeler and Vella Wright. She was a loving wife of nearly 67 years to Elmer C. Sparks to whom she married on April 17, 1945 and a wonderful home maker & mother to her daughters, Peggy (George) Popov and Betty (Keith) Swihart and a supportive grandmother to Chris (Kim) & Scott (Aimeè) Popov and great grandmother to Andrew, Liam & Katherine Popov. She is also survived by her sister, Maxine Bricky of Ashland, Kentucky; her brother, Pearlman Sparks of Mazie, Kentucky; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a graduate of Blaine High School, where she was a cheerleader and a member of the Elizabeth Enterprise Baptist Church in Martha, Kentucky. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and working crossword & jigsaw puzzles. Evalene will be remembered for her faith and love she had for her family and friends.
