Jacqueline I. “Jackie” Neal, 83, Bloomington, died Sunday (Aug. 10, 2014) at her residence.
She was born Nov. 17, 1930 in Bloomington, a daughter of Thomas Alexander and Esther Belle Laird Freed. She married Robert R. Neal on Jan. 10, 1953 at Jefferson City, Mo. He died Dec. 28, 1993. Her parents; a son, Robert Neal; a brother, George Freed; and a sister, Alice Kendall also preceded her in death.
Survivors include four daughters, Karen Sue (Dale) Layten, Julie Kay (Steve) Jones, Kristi Ann (Brian) Wilson and Jackie Teresa (Dwayne) Young; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Esther Belle Colyer and Margaret Mary “Margie” (W.T.) Abbott.
