Adelaida Moya Martinez, 81, of Coachella passed away Dec. 9, 2008 in Banning after a long illness. She was born April 5, 1927, to Senon Moya and Maria Olivarez in Edinburg, Texas. She married Luciano Martinez on March 8, 1941 in Edinburg, Texas. She is survived by her daughters, Lola Hinajosa of Kress, Texas, Minga Estrada of Banning, Juanita Munoz of Banning, Tavi Mejia of Banning, Francisca Montes of Lake Elsinore, Maria Martinez of Banning and Adalia Martinez of Coachella; her sons, Manuel Martinez of Indio, Ignacio Martinez of Indio, Mario Martinez of Eugene, Ore. and Luciano Martinez of Banning.; her sisters, Olga Garces of Edinburg, Texas, Aurora Garza of Hanford and Tomasa Santos of Edinburg, Texas; his brothers, Ramiro Santos of Las Vegas, Nev., Willie Santos and Juan Santos, of Edinburg, Texas; 44 grandchildren, 68 great- grandchildren and 6 great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luciano Martinez (Oct. 13, 2002); her parents, Senon and Maria Moya; her brother, Senon Moya and her grandson, Ventura Munoz. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Mon., Dec. 15, 2008 with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at FitzHenry Funeral Home in Coachella on Ave. 52 and Jackson. Funeral Mass will be at 12:30 p.m., Tues., Dec. 16, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Indio. Burial will follow at Coachella Valley Cemetery. Forest Lawn Cathedral City is in charge of arrangements.
