Additional for Louisa Brink - 05-05-2013 - from Haden M. Smith
G-g-Granddaughter -- Rather than changing the memorial I am posting the message as I received it from Haden: Also, it is worth nothing that (in spite of the misspelling on the death certificate) my family has consistently spelled her middle name :Kathreen." My mother's middle name is Kathreen for this reason, as was my great-aunt's middle name. My grandmother, Kate's granddaughter, died only last year , and knew Kate quite well. She and everyone in her family consistently used a "K" for her middle name. The reason it is misspelled "Katherine" on her death certificate is probably because Mrs. Phillipi, a close friend of the family, was the informant on the death certificate rather than an immediate family member.

8-31-2013. In response to Haden's email. Mrs. George Phillipi, was not a "close friend of the family." Mrs. George Phillipi was Bessie Brink, daughter of Kate Sublett Brink. She was the informant for her mother's death certificate.
