Maxine Laverne Riley, 96, formerly of Miner, died August 8, 2014, at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid. Born May 23, 1918, in Bell City, to the late Oscar and Daisy Cossou Thompson, she had been employed as an insurance agent and was a member of the Oran Methodist Church. She was married to Clyde Riley, who preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 13, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Lois McRill, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Forrest Hills Cemetery near Morley.
