Sharon Jewell Watts
Virginia Beach - Sharon Jewell Watts, 72, of Virginia Beach, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the 18th of September 2013. She was born in Whiteville N.C. to the late Rebecca Long Watts and Everett Lawson Watts. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Sellers Hutchinson and son-in-law James Hutchinson of Va. Beach; brothers Billy, Vincent, and Buzzy; sisters Teresa Mordini and Linda Barnhill; also many long time friends.
Sharon was like a mom and grandmother to many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was an active member of the YMCA (Hilltop) and a true inspiration to all who met her as she fought rheumatoid arthritis for many years. She loved the joy of conversation, laughter, and music. Elvis Presley must of course be singled out, as she was a devoted fan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday October 12 at Beach Fellowship Church, 1817 General Booth Blvd., with a reception to follow at Ocean Way Condominiums. Memorial donations may be made to the YMCA att: Lindsey 1536 Laskin Road, Va. Beach, Va. 23451.
