BELOIT-Gideon N. Chase, 62, 341 Burrwood Park, Beloit, former Brodhead area farmer, died Tuesday in Beloit. For the past 12 years he had been employed as a chipper at the Beloit Foundry. Born July 11, 1903, in Miller, S. D., the son of Frank and Sallie Harber Chase, he married lola Perry Nov. 18, 1936, in Rockford. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Franklin, of Shirland, and Everette, of Beloit; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry Grubbs, Beloit, and Mrs. Jerry Simplot, South Beloit; four stepsons and two stepdaughters; five sisters, including Mrs. Everett Visger, Brodhead; and grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer north chapel, the Rev. William Falk officiating, with burial in Floral Lawns. Friends may call at the chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
