Prominent Woman of Shiloh Community Dies Thursday Morning.
Mrs. Will W. McClain, age 58, one of the prominent women of the Shiloh community, died Thursday morning at 8:00 at her home…Mrs. McClain had been ill but two days and her death came as a great shock to members of the family and her many friends. Tuesday afternoon Mrs. McClain suffered a stroke of paralysis which was the direct cause of her death.
Mrs. McClain was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alec Dawson and was born in Johnson county, January 27, 1870. On September 3, 1896 she was married to Will W. McClain. To this union four children were born. Two living are, Miss Aileen McClain, who makes her home with her parents, and Max McClain of Indianapolis. The husband and one brother, Omer P. Dawson of Franklin, also survive.
Mrs. McClain lived her entire life in Johnson county and was a prominent worker in many community affairs. She was a member of the Grace Methodist church of Franklin.
