W. W. McClain had lived in Morgantown for six years, he was a retired farmer. He died at the Henderson Nursing Home of pneumonia after being ill for several days.
Born in Johnson county, January 24, 1873. He was the son of Matthias and Liza Devore McClain. He was married to Ida Dawson in 1896. She died in 1928 and in 1930 he was married to Ida Hurd, who preceded him in death in 1957.
Survived by two children, a granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.
Two daughters and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Burial in Greenlawn cemetery.
