Suzanne Hobbs, 59, of Shelley passed away August 11, 2014 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

She was born on March 2, 1955 at Rexburg, Idaho to Donald J and Frances Loretta Hoffner Hobbs.

Though handicapped from birth, Susie lived a full and active life. She was an avid sports fan and especially a great supporter of the Shelley High School Russets sports and other events. She loved her brothers and sister and her nieces and nephews and their children.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved being a visiting teacher.

She worked at the Deseret Industries, volunteered at the Soup Kitchen and participated at the Adventure Center.

Susie is survived by her sister, Nanette (Brent) Barton of Meadow, Utah; brothers, Donald Craig (Rhonda) Hobbs of Goodyear, Arizona; Kent Dayne (Vicki) Hobbs of Pocatello, Idaho; Richard J (Kelli) Hobbs of Shelley, Idaho; 18 nieces and nephews and 34 great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Shelley South Stake Center (675 South Milton Ave.). The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 till 8:00 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley and Saturday from 10:00 till 10:40 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
