Annie Mary Wheeler, 93, of Aubrey, went home to be with the Lord on Friday May 7, 2010. She was born on October 23, 1916 in Aubrey to Jim and Ada Flowers Beaty. She married Albert Wheeler on November 19, 1932 in Ardmore Oklahoma. Annie was a charter member of Hilltop Assembly of God Church in Aubrey and was employed for 27 yrs at the Denton State School. Upon retiring she became a foster grandparent. In her early days she had a great impact on many people's lives as a Pentecostal minister up until the time that she took care of her mentally challenged son Roy Lee for some 67 years.

Annie is survived by two sons, Billy Wheeler and wife Pat and Bobby Wheeler and wife Jackie of Aubrey and daughter Frances May Carter of Aubrey. She also has 12 Grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. She also has numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 11, 2010 at Hilltop Assembly at 1 p.m. in Aubrey with Pastor David Bruce officiating. Burial will be at Belew Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Annie is preceded in death by her husband Albert and son Roy Lee Wheeler and son-in-Law James Lee Carter and six brothers and two sisters. Services are under the care of Terri Slay and staff of Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey.
