Levi F. Grigsby, 68, 414 W. Blaine St., lifelong resident of the Clay County area, died at 3:56 p.m. Sunday at the Clay County Hospital where he had been admitted March 22. He had been in failing health for about the past six years.

He was born Sept. 13, 1910 at Benwood in the Van Buren Township, the son of the late Fred and Eva (Bush) Grigsby. He attended the local school and during WWII he served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater. He later was employed at the former Brazil Hollow Brick & Tile Company and also the former Hydraulic Press & Brick Co.

He was a former member of the Veteran of Foreign War Post No. 1127 and the Brazil. He was preceded in death by a son Harold Lee Grigsby who was killed in action during the Viet Nam Conflict."
