Funeral of Mrs Russell. — The funeral of the late Mrs Russell, wife of Mr Hugh Russell, contract surveyor of the Lands Department took place at Busselton on the afternoon of Thursday, ihe 30th October. The body was followed to the railway station at Newlands by the mill employees, school children and friends, whence it was conveyed by train to Busselton. The Funeral procession started from the Busselton station shortly after the arrival there of the train, the pall bearers being Messrs A. R. Pries, T. A Thurkle, Elijah Dawson and Percy Carter. The chief mourners were : Mr H. J. Yelverton,. M.L. A., Mr W. C. Yelverton (brothers), Mr A. Marshall (uncle), Mr H. G. Yelverton (nephew), Mrs H. J. Yelverton (sister-in-law), Miss Vie Yelverton (niece) and Messrs J. and M. Thomson (brothers-in-law). There was a very large attendance, it being noticeable that many had travelled long distances, particularly those from Quindalup, where the deceased lady had spent most of her young life, that they might pay their sad tribute of respect to one who was so universally loved and esteemed. She was interred in ihe Church of England cemetery, the Rev A Craven officiating. On the coffin was inscribed — ' Alice Rose Eloise Russell. Age 26. Wreaths were sent from Mr and Mrs John Allnutt, Blanche, Dr and Mrs Elliott, H. and M. Mitchell, Mr and Mrs Jas Hunter, Reynolds family, Mr and Mrs W. O. Mitchell. Mr and Mrs A. Payne, Mr and Mrs W.
