Linda Meador Humphrey was born July 2, 1942 in Tupelo, MS the daughter of the late Joe Noah and Lola Rae Dollar Meador.
She was united in marriage to James Robert (Jim) Humphrey on April 15, 1965. Mr. Humphrey preceded her in death on February 7, 2006, following 40 years of marriage.
Mrs. Humphrey worked as a credit administrator for the Credit Bureau of Cleveland for approximately 10 years. After returning to the mid-south, she worked for Ed McKinney Used Cars and the Corinth Credit Bureau in Corinth, MS. Mrs. Humphrey was an avid reader; she especially enjoyed the study of civil war history. She loved caring for her pets, and will be remembered for her beautiful smile and good humor. Mrs. Humphrey was a member of the Olive Hill Baptist Church in Guys, TN.
Mrs. Humphrey departed this life on August 8, 2014 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 1 Month, 6 Days. She is survived by a brother, Michael Joe Meador and wife Leandra of Ramer, TN; a nephew, Michael Anthony Coreno of Seville, OH; three nieces: Susan Lynn Carpenter and husband Michael of Medina, OH, Kendra Marie Coreno and husband Alan Telling of North Olmsted, OH, and Caroline Anne Coreno of Parma Heights, OH; a great-nephew, Adam Michael Carpenter; a great-niece, Ashleigh Marie Carpenter; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Anthony Coreno of Seville, OH.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Humphrey was preceded in death by a sister, Nettie Ruth Coreno.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Humphrey may be made to a Hospice organization of the donor's choice.
