Max Archer:
Joseph Max Archer, 73, of Ragland, died Saturday, Aug. 27 at St. Clair
Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 29 at 2 p.m. at the
Kilgroe funeral Home, Pell City, chapel. Burial was at the Ragland Methodist
Church. The Rev. Doug Ford officiated.
Archer was retired from National Cement Co. He was a member of the Ragland
First United Methodist Church and the James D. Truss Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include: wife, Mrs. Jessie Archer of Ragland; one son, Charles
Richard Archer of Ragland; one brother, W. B. Archer of Ragland; and four
sisters, Mrs. Mildred Blankenship of Pell City, Mrs. Jewel Sligh of Wilsonville,
Mrs. Mary Jo Barber of Pell City and Mrs. Tommie Sue Milam of Demopolis.
