Melburn M. Baker, of Marble Hill, died Sunday, June 8, 1986 at Bond Nursing Center in Lutesville. He was 66. He was born October 30, 1919 near Marble Hill, son of the late Newton M. Baker and Alma (Allen) Baker, who survives of Marble Hill.
On June 24, 1941 he married Almeta Shanks. She survives.
Mr. Baker was a retired farmer and had resided in the Bollinger County area all his life.
Other survivors are four sons, Clinton Baker of Marble Hill, MO; Melbern M. Baker, Jr. of Marble Hill, MO; Howard Baker of Glen Allen, MO; Marvin Baker of Jonesboro, IL; one daughter, Mrs. Joyce James of Marble Hill, MO; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Kirkpatrick of Marble Hill, MO; Mrs. Idell Kirkpatrick of Marble Hill, MO; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
One grandson preceded him in death.
Service was Thursday at Liley Funeral Home, with burial in Baker Cemetery.

RELATIONSHIP: His 3rd great-grandparents, Peter Baker, Sr. and Mary (Miller) Baker, are my 4th great-grandparents.
