Harry O. Bacon, 62, of Springfield died at 10:23 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 20, 1926, in Springfield, the son of Warren E. and Mabel Jason Bacon.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Bud and Buster.

Mr. Bacon retired from the CI&M Railroad as chief clerk and cashier in 1987, after 40 years of employment.

Surviving are four daughters; four grandchildren; one brother; two sisters; one aunt; several nieces, nephews; and cousins.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Oaks officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
