Anne Louise Dalton

Mrs. Dalton was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Etta Satterfield; and her husband of 57 years, Robert "Clinton" Dalton.

She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Milton Satterfield; sons, David and Laura Dalton, Jerry and Virginia Dalton, Tommy Dalton and Patricia Tacuri, and Johnny Dalton; grandchildren, Robert and Carolyn Dalton, Theresa Dalton, Bryan and Jessica Dalton-McIlwee, Thomas and Michele Dalton-Turner, Lauren Dalton, Thomas Dalton, Klarissa Smith and Tipawan Middlebrook; and great-grandson, Robert Dalton.

She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandma and "Mema." She was an admirable woman: a homemaker, storyteller and teacher. She taught us how to laugh, cry, give, learn, create, appreciate, accomplish, cook (and eat!) and love. She gave us these things with patience, kindness and wisdom, never wanting or expecting anything in return. Her life and beliefs exemplified the words of the late poet, Cecil Frances Alexander, who wrote: "All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all... He gave us eyes to see them, And lips that we might tell, how great is God Almighty, Who has made all things well." She saw and celebrated the profound beauty of life, and led all she met to do the same.
