Hickory: - Helen Harper Robinson, formerly of Charlotte, NC, died on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
She was born on November 6, 1926, the daughter of the late Sidney C. Harper and Ella Mae Long Harper of Columbus, GA.
Helen attended Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, earning the Licensed Practical Nurse degree. She was employed by Sharon Towers Retirement Center as an LPN for many years and was devoted to caring for others. She participated in water aerobics and was a member of the Charlotte YMCA . She enjoyed her family and her miniature Schnauzer "Lucy".
Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Eugene H. Robinson. She is survived by her children: Carolyn R. Johnston of Hickory, NC, Jane Robinson Long and husband Ron of Lynch Station, VA, and her son, the Rev. Dr. Thomas E. Robinson and his wife, the Rev. Dr. Annari Griesel, of Yardley, PA. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all of her family.
