Wilma Lee (Workman) Hunter , age 67, was born January 3, 1947 in Chicoto, TX, the daughter of Jacob Workman and Viola Ann (Revis) Workman and had lived for the past 44 years in Hugo. Her parents preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Dale Batchelor.
Wilma was a registered nurse and an EMT and CPR Instructor putting herself through school while raising her children. She had worked at Paris Regional Hospital for 23 years, had served as Director of Nursing at Hugo Health and Rehab and was a hospice nurse. Wilma was dedicated to her patients. Her hobbies included gardening and working with her flowers. She also liked to fish, enjoyed spending time with her family, especially family gatherings and cookouts.
She married Bryan Hunter on December 2, 1991 in Antlers, OK. He survives her. Other survivors include: her children, Terry Ann Gage and husband, Tony of Reno, TX, Tommy Batchelor and wife, Mary of McAlester, Jerry Lewis Batchelor of Wills Point, TX, Sherri Smith and husband, Lane of Valliant, OK, Jackie Teague and husband, Dustin of Sawyer, OK and Amanda Brown of McAlester, OK; two sisters, Georgia Harrison and husband, Dale of Ft. Towson, OK and Ruby Richey of Hugo; one brother, Bobby Workman and wife, Joyce of Hugo; 23 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.
