Benjamin Chapman, b abt 1724, m 8 Jan 1756 Abigail Riggs of Derby d 22 Jun 1786, aged 61 say's Mr Robinson's church record but his tombstone says 62 [and day on tombstone is 26 rather than 22] He was buried on Burying Ground Hill. His wife died insane, the cause of which was the treatment her husband received at the hands of the Society and church. She was a women of education and refinement, but was of a very sensative, retiring nature (From Ecclesiastical and Other Sketches of Southington, CT)
