After his death, she took her son to Holland, presumably to visit her late husband's relatives. They arrived back in New York on May 31, 1893, on the Maasdam which had sailed from Rotterdam. Her name was listed as "Wertheim Salomonson" and his as Maurice Salomonson.
She and her son are listed in the 1900 US Census for Denver. Some time before 1910, she returned with her son to live in Newton, Massachusetts, where she lived until after his death in 1932. By 1935 she was living in Andover, Massachuseets.
Note: Her husband used Wertheim as part of his last name. She, her son and his 3 children and their children, all have used it as a middle name.
