Death of Mrs. Nicholas Henley
Fate hovered over the Nicholas Henley family Sunday for the second time in two weeks by claiming the spirit of Mrs. Henley. Fred C. Henley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henley, was buried two weeks ago Sunday.
Mrs. Nettie Bowen Henley, wife of Nicholas Henley, died at her home near Smiley's Mill, Sunday morning at 7:30. Death was due to pneumonia. Mrs. Henley was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bowen and was born in Washington county, October 17, 1859. On Feb. 5, 1882, she was married to Nicholas Henley, and moved to this county. She was a member of the Salem Methodist church. She is survived by the husband and two children, Mrs. Ethel Stewart of Indianapolis and Capt. Grant Henley of the A.E.F. in France.
The funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 at the home near Smiley's Mill, conducted by the Rev. W. S. Rader of the Grace Methodist church. Burial in Greenlawn cemetery.
