The funeral service for Jonathan Dean Hays of Big Sandy was set at noon today at New Beginning Church of God near Big Sandy, where he was a member. Burial was to follow in McRae’s Chapel Cemetery in Benton County.
Hays, 53, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at Camden General Hospital from injuries in a traffic accident near Big Sandy.
His wife, Lynnette Hays, survives.
Born Jan. 17, 1961, in Chicago, he was a son of the late Bobby Dean and Linda Vanatter Hays.
He also leaves two daughters: Amanda Hays of Fairview Heights, Ill., and Jessica (Tim) Brockman of Big Sandy; one brother: Tracy Hays of Odenville, Ala.; five grandchildren: Nora Lea Hays, Taloula Larsen, Silas Dean Brockman, Penelope Bowden and Rylan Fincher.
