Robert Ferguson was born 1722 in Scotland. He married Elizabeth Wylley 5 Oct. 1757 in New York. He bought a lot of land in Rhea County Tn. Some of his children moved there. His and Elizabeth children were James Moses John 1763 Jane1766 Robert Elias and Alexander. He has a rich history. He married Esabella Dickey the second time. Robert's rock is real close to the west near the rock fence. It is in line with the Ferguson family. Pat H Pat N and I cleaned the rock in 2010. We think his first wife must have been buried next to him. We could not find any rocks or stones for her. She died about 1880 during the Rev. war. They had knocked her down and she died later from the stories I have read.
