Carl Eldridge Corley, 81, passed away at a Temple, Texas hospital Thursday, February 16, 2006.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006, at Flint Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Corley was born August 8, 1924, in Graham, Texas. He was the son of Newby and Clara Belle Jones Corley. He was raised and attended school in Brownfield, Texas. Carl served his country in the Navy from 1943 to 1946. He retired from Rowan Drilling Company after 20 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and garage sales. He also enjoyed repairing small engines. He was a long time resident of the Morgan City, LA, area. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ralph Corley.
Survivors include his daughter, Reba Crowson; sons, Robert Corley and Richard Corley; sisters, Juanita Igo, Edna Chisum and Carolyn Corley; six grandchildren, Jeremy Corley, Nathan Corley, Amber Corley, Ashley Corley, Amanda Rabalais and Heath Parkey; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah Corley and Gauge Corley.
