US Navy Medical Service Corps Officer. A graduate of St. Patrick's HS, John joined the Navy, serving in Korea and rising to HM1 before being commissioned in the MSC. He graduated from George Washington University and from Pepperdine University and held a variety of assignments, serving in Viet Nam and later as as Officer in Charge of the Parris Island Branch Clinic before being tranferred to NNMC, Bethesda, MD. Upon retirement, he returned to Beaufort where he was a member of the VFW, the DAV, and of American Legion Post #166. A bowler of legendary skill, he was a member of the Beaufort Bowling Association Hall of Fame.
