Major League Baseball Player, Manager. He played two seasons as an outfielder and first baseman. In 1875, he played for both the Philadelphia Centennials and the Washington Nationals where he pitched two innings in a game along with outfield experience. Eight years later, he played one game for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1887, he was manager of the Philadelphia Athletics where he went 38-40 and his team finished if fifth place
