Gloria Grace Fowler, 85, of Beaumont, Texas, died Saturday, August 9, 2014, at College Street Health Care Center in Beaumont.

She was born on October 27, 1928, in New Rochelle, New York, to Antoinette Latino and Joseph Montalbano.

Gloria moved to Beaumont when she was sixteen years old and graduated from St. Anthony High School.

Gloria loved being with family and friends. She volunteered for many associations. She and her husband, Bill, were members of the Couples Club and Sacred Heart League of St. Joseph’s Church, VFW, Amelia Little League, and Boy Scouts. Gloria volunteered at Beaumont’s Best Years Center, where she loved to paint ceramics and share her talent with others.

She was office manager of their family business, Home Packing on Irving Street before it closed. Gloria modeled for BBW and had always been an active person. She had a passion for children.

Survivors include her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William “Bill” Fowler; and son, Thomas J. Fowler.

Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, Texas
