Son of the late William Broughton and Lillie Mae McKenzie Douglas, he was survived by his wife, Mable "Rene" Douglas; son, Alan Douglas; daughter, Dawn Theresa Douglas; brother, Ray Douglas; sister, Sue Osborne; grandchildren, Steven Lewis, Christopher Douglas and Chelsea Douglas; and an extended family of relatives and friends. His funeral was held on August 11, 2014, at Cross Plains Baptist Church.
