Mrs. Rose Hauber

A number of relatives and friends from here attended the funeral of Mrs. Rose Hauber, 83, which was held at the St. Aloysius Catholic church in Calmar Friday morning. Deceased had been in failing health for several years and died at the home of her daughter Mrs. John O’Brien in Marquette, with whom she made her home. Mrs. Hauber was born in Festina, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Huber. Following her marriage to Geo. Hauber they made their home on a farm north of Spillville for many years, later retiring and moving to Calmar where Mr. Hauber passed away a number of years ago. Surviving are six children: Frank and Will of near Spillville, Albert of Cresco, Mrs. Joseph Doubek and Ernest Hauber, Calmar, Mrs. John O’Brien, Marquette and Miss Rose Hauber, Dubuque, besides a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
