Arlene M. Young, 78, of Leesport, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Lutheran Home at Topton.
Her husband, Richard E. Young passed away September 30, 2000.
Born in Reading, on December 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Carl L. and Catherine M. (Spengler) Speece.
She was a 1953 graduate of Wilson High School.
Arlene worked in the cafeteria at Wilson School District for 26 years, retiring in 1999.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon K. wife of Dennis Chelius; and Vivian L. wife of Timothy Updegrove; two sons, Darrell K. Young husband of Carol Young; and Roger M. Young husband of Denise Young; two brothers, Paul A. Speece; and John W. Speece; and twelve grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by a brother, Carl Speece, Jr.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
