Major League Baseball Player. Pitcher for several baseball organizations beginning in 1940 when he appeared in three games with the Cleveland Indians. He then went on to serve in the military during World War II. He was a prisoner of war in a German prison camp that was liberated near the end of the War. He returned to baseball in 1949 with the Cincinnati Reds appearing in five games recording a loss in one of his games. In 1955, after a long stint in the minors, he had a spot in the bullpen for the the Chicago White Sox where he pitched until 1958 with 107 games pitched in relief. He finished with a career record 19-15 with 19 saves.
