Death of William H. Briggs.
WILLIAM H. BRIGGS--------
Ralph Briggs received word Thursday of last week that his brother, William, had passed away at his home in LaGrande, Oregon.
William H. Briggs was the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Briggs. He was born in Harrisville Township, March 4, 1866, and died October 4, 1944.
Will went West when a young man and entered in the ranching business in the Starkey Mountains outside of Hilzard, and continued in this business until he moved into LaGrande a year ago.He is survived by the widow, Susan, and five sons and two daughters. Also three brothers and one sister: Ralph of Harrisville; Ernest, Raymond and Mrs. Lulu Merchant of Battle Creek.
