Hank was born in Payne, Ohio, to Simon and Elizabeth Berry. He is predeceased by 9 sisters and 2 great-grandchildren. He enlisted in the Army in 1943 and proudly served in WWII and the Korean War. He was an Officer and Liaison Pilot with 54 jumps as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. Hank moved to Apple Valley in 1959, with wife Jackie, as a member of the Apple Valley Ranchos Sales Team. He put much time and passion into the Incorporation of the town he loved. In the 1990's he moved to Colorado to be closer to his children and grandchildren. While there he found great fulfillment as a member of the Colorado Rockies Baseball Organization. Hank leaves behind to honor his memory, daughter; Donna Ribbons (Terry); son Tom; and daughter Katie. He also leaves his brother Elmer; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Services will be held August 15th, 2014 at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M. Published in the Daily Press on Aug. 10, 2014.
