Rhea Baker was the third of the 11 children born to America Holton (Thompson) and Daniel Ayres Baker, who had just relocated from Platteville, Colorado to Hartford City, Indiana. Here six more children were born and Rhea received her education in the local schools. In 1902 when Rhea was 15 years old, the Baker family (now numbering nine children) boarded a train and moved permanently to Colfax, Washington. Here two more daughters were born.

Rhea married Nestor Aime LaCerte (of Weedon, Quebec Canada) on August 11, 1912 in Colfax, Washington. They had two daughters, Hazel Faye and Aime Rhea LaCerte, and two grandchildren. Rhea was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Colfax.

Nestor died in Colfax in 1928 from tuberculosis.

Rhea died at age 43 years, 5 months, 10 days.

Rhea was a gr-granddaughter of Dr. James and America Ford of Wabash, Indiana.
